Abstract The European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ESGE) is dedicated to improving the quality gastrointestinal endoscopy, including through educational activities such as live endoscopy events (LEEs). primary goal LEEs should be facilitate improvement endoscopic patient care acquisition best practice. Patients not expect additional benefit from being treated during a LEE compared routine setting. There limited available evidence on safety but date there no indication that patients are at increased risk participation. Pre-recorded cases with facilitation can also used fulfill learning outcomes. Establishing an curriculum clear outcomes important structure attendees’ learning, assess course outcomes, and allow appropriate targeting courses learner experience. Increasingly, streamed online therefore necessary measures taken ensure have given consent their anonymity has been safeguarded. ESGE recommends endoscopist who participating in demonstrations named advocate, must prioritized throughout.
